I am interested in conversations, exchange of experience, discussions, and anything in Astronomy, Cosmology. If you are an amateur, a society, a school class, or any goup of people interested in astronomy, you will certainly find something on these pages, that might interest you in particular. My name is Emil Pallos, and I am living in Saulheim, Rheinhessen, between Mainz and Alzey. I am an amateur astronomer since 1969. Now, that I am retired, I spend a lots of time with astronomy. During the three years , I was working in England, I have completed a study astronomy and cosmology at the University of Central Lancashire, UK. I also was an active member of the “Richmond-Kew Astronomical Society” and also of the “Royal British Astronomical Society” in London. Now I am a member of the local Astronomical Society in Bad-Kreuznach, and the VDS,  which is the national  Society of German Astronomers. SAULHEIM I have a quite large library, with over 1300 titles, in English , German and a few in other languages. Some books are very old, you could say antik. The books cover the entire field of astronomy, cosmology, physics, mathematics, atomphysic, theoretical physic, solar system, galaxies, instruments and history of astronomy. Many books are of popular style others of higher levels, even for undergraduate students. There is also a large number on observing techniques and methods, skycharts, and dictionaries of astronomy. Magasines, like the Sterne und Weltraum, Sky and Telescope, Astronomy, Astronomy Now, Messenger, Popular Astronomy, Star Observer, some special editions of various magasines, like those from  SuW and Spektrum der Wissenschaft are also present, some of these are complete since 1976. All books and magasines are recorded in a database for quick search and access to required informations. ( All entries are in German language ). MY LIBRARY As my primary task, I try to bring astronomy understandable and popular to all, young and old, who are interested. For this purpose I often give lectures covering all areas and subjects in astronomy and cosmology, for all whoare interested and do wish so. Primarly for school classes of any levels and classes, various societies, and other group of people. (I prefer the locations near my residence, like the towns around Alzey, Wörrstadt, Nieder Olm and Mainz. Since october 2000 I am a happy owner of my own observatory. During my stay in the US in 1977-79 I used to be a member of the Broom County Astronomical Society, and visited the Copernic Observatory quite often.
